Her many hats!

Bella can sometimes best be described as Dr. Suess' Thing1 and Thing2....she zoom zooms around not even a frown...going here or there and making a mess everywhere....she has a goal insight and goes straight into flight....her mommy, now say, will often yell "HEY"....this little one here has no fault, no dear, as the mommy has slacked and the little one's laxed....she springs forth in full gear to set her plans a steer....wait! stop! where'd they go??...Thing1??...Thing2??... What have you do??...with that little you-know-who??....she woke with a gust as if she just must....to the dryer....the washer....folding....and sorting....no more "Things" but at best I can see....all in one child....now she's Cats A-Z!!!....no one knows why the little dear ran all about....sorting and cleaning.....all to help out! The mommy's well pleased....of course she would be....an open invitation to Cats A-Z!

"Carl the Frog"

What better thing to do on a Tuesday morning than go to a children's book signing?

The girls and I got to meet the multi-talented David N. Weiss. Emmy nominated producer, writer, and now author. We sat and listened as he read his book "Carl The Frog". It is such a funny book and was awesome to hear it read by the author. The girls were completely amazed!

Grad week

Last week was Graduations galore! We went to my cousin Mazie's grad ceremony and then two days later my niece Jessika's! My girls VERY patiently sat through them and I was very proud on those days! Not only for the girls who've very successfully completed middle school with scholarships to private High Schools and recognitions galore but ESPECIALLY for my Bella who never complained through the long ceremonies.

Then comes Saturday....I told the girls we were going to our friend Nick's Graduation Party. No response. Then Papa called the girls and they were chatting with him while we ran errands.
Bella: so what awe (her accent) you doing Papa?
(Silence)
Bella: oh....yeah (somber)....we have to go to anothew funewal (funeral)....we already went to 2 fewnewals and now we have to go to anothew one.

No wonder she didn't complain....APPARENTLY SHE WAS IN MOURNING....OR BORED TO DEATH!

Isabella Rose

I've cried, I've mourned, and now I'm praising. My little baby is 6 today! I held her tight last night, smelled in her sweetness, and cried as I did. Any mom can understand the tears, the bitter sweetness of a child aging, and the complete thanks that goes along with it. My Bell's said to me as I held her "It's okay mommy. I have to gwow up". I just thought of how it's so true, yet so unfair. Off to bed she went as she reminded me that it would "be the last time you see me as a 5 yeaw old" (using her accent with no r's). She has been a miracle since conception! I am forever thankful for the gift that she is. Analiese prayed for 4 years for a baby sister and now has a lifelong BEST FRIEND! We are thankful for the miracle of her being revived after birth and for the long 3 weeks of sitting at her side for 10hrs. a day in the NICU. We are thankful for her belly laughs, silly ways, loving words, and MANY questions. This mommy's tears are of thanks to our Almighty Father for the gift of life, parenthood, and age!

Off we go to have a HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY with Isabella Rose!!

No she didn't!

Bella and Analiese were playing the Wii, two sisters having a grand time, a little competition, and alot of laughter. SCRRREEETCH>>>>>HALT!!! What did the 5 year old just yell?? Oh, no way! I must have heard wrong. "MOMMY!!!" Analiese says. "BELLA JUST SAID @#*#@".

So I wasn't hearing things? She did just shout "YOU MOWON!!". Yep, there you have it, even if it is with her little accent where she can't pronounce her r's.

I asked her where she heard it. Of course the answer was "I don't know mommy. I'm so sowwy" (puffy pout lip and all).

We don't say "Moron" honey! Not even "MOWON"!

My B's!

My mom picked us girls up on Saturday. She dropped Bella and I off at the Coffee Bean for some girl time while she and Analiese went to Ralph's. Spending time with my girls fills my soul but there is something more that happens when I'm with just one. It's almost as if I can see the WHOLE person they are! B's brain is always going and she always has very important things to talk about. My time with her was filled with the most laughing I've done all week and some tear wrenching conversation. A couple of the things she just had to talk to me about were: (I'm not kidding the kid riddled off thought after thought, and question after question. Wish I remembered them all)

Mommy,

How do you know when you have a knuckle head? (She meant headache)

I can't wait to have a husband just like daddy! Can I just marry him? (he's taken!)

Can people die from "your" lungs mommy? (Can mommy die from her lungs)

How many monies have people payed for the lungs? (Donations raised for the 5K)

Why do I love the way you smell so much? (as she sniffs me all over! IN PUBLIC!!)

When I grow up can I live with you and Daddy forever?

I can make myself laugh all the time!! Watch!! (and she lets out the loudest belly laugh as if she REALLY was laughing at the funniest thing she'd ever heard)

A funny story!

Two weeks ago Bella and Analiese were riding bikes in our backyard. Bella came running in and told us that they took off her training wheels but she couldn't ride without them. She assured us that we need not worry because they put them back on. Then she looked at Manuel with her sweet eyes and said "Daddy can you please teach me to ride without those training wheels right now?". He told her that he would during the week because it was time to come in for dinner. Well the poor child waited...and waited...she asked me if she could try again on her own two days later...citing that Daddy worked a lot and she's been waiting. I assured her it would happen. Friday night came and I told Manuel how much she was really wanting to learn and I told him that if he didn't do it VERY soon...she WOULD do it on her own.
That is just her pesonality. She just figures things out with no problem. When she learned how to tie her shoes I showed her once and said "ok, go in your room and try to see if you can do it"...she came out 10 minutes later with both shoes tied! With double knots!!
So anyway, she went to play at our friends house the next day. When we picked her up my friend Alison says something like "aaah, right now I feel really bad to be you!" and I'm thinking "oh no, how much is it gonna cost to replace?". She tells me that Bella saw Brooklyn's bike and asked her if she would teach her how to ride it. Alison tells her that she couldn't possibly because that is something her daddy should do. Bella is already on the bike and says "can you just please hold it one time" as Alison holds it (explaining that she can't teach her) Bella takes off riding!!! All on her own!! Just left her standing there shocked and thinking "OH NO!!". Hearing Alison tell me all of this was so funny! I knew she was thinking I wasn't going to believe that she really didn't teach Bella. But oh, I believe it!! That's my girl!! So she's been riding that thing since and the smile remains. She wouldn't leave Brooklyn's bike alone that day she got on and Brooklyn even told her something like "do you think your parents can buy you your own bike so you don't have to only use mine?". Don't worry Brooklyn she is permanently glued to her's since that day she got home from your house! Bella ran around telling everyone that she could now ride a "one wheeler". Don't worry we taught her the difference! She had me make sure I got the picture of just her wheel to show that there are no training wheels!

Yummy!!

Strawberries are back!! Analiese just LOVES strawberries....she has been known to eat half a flat all by herself. You have to keep her away from them at parties because she will not leave any for the guests. It's pretty funny. Her face lit up when our neighbor Abel brought over these huge sweet strawberries today! To our surprise Bella ate a bunch too! I think her tastebuds are maturing because she just couldn't stop eating them and in the past she would say "I hate strawberries, they're spicy".

A Day of Pampering!

I was blessed with a day of pampering the other day! I experienced the best breakfast ever at a little cottage near our house. Two of the best chef's in California made me waffles with a rasberry butter compote and a poached egg with shaved black truffles! DELISH!!

I was then given the best manicure I have ever had. Complete with a hand massage and the best nail color the gal could find. SPARKLY PINK!!

I have the best life ever and the imaginations that surround me could not be any more creative or entertaining!!

It's a scene!!

I thought it was a chore undone. I was mistaken, gasp! It is a scene and I should have recognized it! Bella was quick to tell me that it was baby Jesus and the 3 wise men, one of them is bowing down to Jesus. What was wrong with me? And so, it sits on the playroom floor for all to see. I love her imagination! These moments are too precious!!
